PENERAPAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS TRIBOX PADA PRAKTIKUM JARINGAN KOMPUTER

Abstract

ABSTRACT

This practical report describes the application of TriBox-based learning media in computer network practicum activities. The background of this practice is the difficulty of students in understanding abstract network concepts and the limited availability of practicum devices. The purpose of this practicum is to apply TriBox media as a visual and structured aid to help students understand the material on network devices, IP addressing/subnetting, UTP cable crimping standards, basic CLI router configuration, and troubleshooting. The practical activities were carried out in the computer laboratory of SMK 2 Ibrahimy Sendawar involving 20 students. The results of the practicum showed that the use of TriBox media was very helpful. Students were able to recognize network devices, calculate subnets correctly, perform UTP cable crimping according to TIA/EIA standards, simulate router configuration commands, and solve simple network cases. This practical activity proves that TriBox media is an effective and practical solution in supporting the understanding of computer network practicum, especially for schools with limited equipment.
